Beautiful and Elegant Collection Of Sarees

At Ladies Cloths one can choose from 100+ varieties and 15,000+ designs.

Cotton

It’s the comfiest and the lightest fabric, making it the best choice for the summer season. Cotton Sarees have been an absolute favourite for most women because of their amazing comfort. Cotton is a fabric that easily absorbs sweat, helping you beat the heat in style.

Silk

Silk has been a crowd favourite for a long time thanks to the luxurious appeal of the fabric. The sheen and lustre of the silk fabric offer unmatched aesthetic value, while the fabric itself offers fantastic comfort. Silk is a popular choice for special occasions such as weddings.

Organza

Organza is a fabric cultivated from organza silk. It’s one of the most stylish saris, perfect for summer.

How To Style Sarees For Different Occasions?

It’s important to remember that one should go for gold jewellery for saree having a golden undertone or golden work, and one can go for silver, diamond or even pearl jewellery for saris having a silver undertone or silver work.

The undertone of a sari gives us a lot of clues; it helps us in choosing the right accessories.

With that said, different occasions call for special efforts. Here’s how you can style your saris for the most special occasions you are a part of.

For Weddings and Special Events

Weddings are some of the most special events we attend. Naturally, they call for special attire.

To perfect your wedding attire, you can go for designer blouses that have been embroidered and embellished with stones and gems. You can also wear velvet blouses or sequence blouses as they are trending at the moment.

For events taking place in the day or during summer and springtime, you can go for bright and vivid colours, while for events taking place at night, go for darker ones.

South silk and Kanjivaram sarees look great with temple jewellery. You can them with potli bags to complete your attire and will make your traditional look perfect. Clutches and purses also make for great accessories.

For Parties and Concerts

The common perception is that only Western outfits are appropriate for concerts and parties. However, Indo-Western looks are in trend these days. The best part is you can easily create their own indo-western look at home.

You can choose from printed, georgette, chiffon or even light-embellished sarees and pair them with a choker necklace or even diamond or stone jewellery.

You can even style them with a crop top and leather tops. This would add an exquisite element of fusion to the whole look. To complete your look, add chunky jewellery or go for statement pieces. One can also go for rings, bangles or even hair accessories. Adding a jewelled clutch or even an embellished sling bag is also a great idea to elevate your look

Banarasi Sarees:

These saris are known for their zari work, stunning borders and rich appeal. The saris are not only popular in northern India but are also widely worn across the globe. Banarasi is one of the most popular fabrics today. When styled correctly, these make for a great party look.

Paithani Sarees:

These saris originated from the town of Paithan and are known for their peacock motifs, found on the border and the pallu. A Paithani saree has a luscious appeal.

Kanjivaram Sarees:

Also known as the Kanchipuram saree, this originated in southern India and is famous all over India today. They are known for their lustrous silk fabric, which has a rich appeal. Kanjivaram is generally woven with silver and golden threads, which makes them stand out.

How To Drape A Saree?

Typically, the length of a saree can range from four to nine yards. This length can make it difficult for beginners to drape one. However, wearing a saree will no longer be a challenge with some practice. Once you get into the habit, it can be very convenient for you to drape one in just a matter of a few minutes.

Take the saree and wrap it around your waist. Make sure you are wearing a petticoat/ underskirt/seamless shapewear and blouse before you start draping. It’s important to tie it around the waist properly so that you can tuck in your saree so it doesn’t fall off.

The first and most important step is to create a knot on the top corner of the plain end of the saree. Secondly, insert this knot into the petticoat. The embroidery should be facing out.

Wrap the saree around your waist from the right to the left. The fabric has to be inserted into the petticoat around the waist.

Then comes the pleat. Make pleats by turning the cloth from the thumb to the index finger. It is important to secure it with a safety pin so that it stays in place. Lastly, insert the pleats into the petticoat.

The other part of the saree will become your pallu. Take that fabric round from right to left. One can pleat or let the pallu fall over the arms. The pallu should generally touch the end of the back of the knee.

Secure the pallu over your shoulder with a safety pin. One can also pin a brooch on the shoulder to glamourise the look.
